Welcome to Terms 3 and 4 The Invention of Hugo Cabret
This term, our learning will be centred around The Invention of Hugo Cabret,. In geography, we are learning about Paris and comparing it with the UK. Pupils are developing their understanding of human and physical geography by exploring landmarks, rivers, settlements, land use, population, and climate, making meaningful comparisons between France and the UK. Our history learning focuses on inventions over time. Children are exploring how key inventions have shaped the modern world and how technological developments have changed people’s lives across different periods. In science, we are studying electricity, learning how circuits work, the role of different components, and how to work safely when investigating electrical systems. In art, Year 6 are creating digital collages and improving their photography skills. In PE, our focus is on gymnastics and fitness.
